This is Clark County's oldest regional park, it was established in the 1930s. There are 154 acres of forest and meadows bordering the East Fork of the Lewis River, with a 3-mile trail system that runs throughout the park. There are 13 reservable log picnic shelters. Many picnic areas without shelters are available in a variety of locations within the park on first-come, first served basis.

From Memorial Day until Labor Day and on Weekends in May and September there is a parking fee (at present it is $2.00 a car) to enter the park. Although if you go in the Fall, Winter, or early Spring there is no fee. Plus you can always park just outside of the gates and avoid the parking fee.

To find My Kid's Favorite Lunch #2, you might want to look at or print a copy of the Lewisville Park trail map. You can obtain one by going to: http://www.ci.vancouver.wa.us/parks-recreation/parks_trails/trails/pdf/lewisville.pdf

This will help you to locate the correct area to search for the box, although you will probably want to wander through this amazing park. When the box was planted some of the parking area's were gated shut, so getting to the box will be longer than a 1/2 mile walk one way. Although, if you can get to the correct parking area's the actual distance to the box is probably less than a 1/4 mile.

Clues:

Your first task is to find the Maple Area we you can eat. Follow the trail to where horseshoes are thrown. Standing in about the middle of the horseshoe court, look for the huge tree with a "fern" beard. At the base of this giant on the right side is the lunch you seek. It lies in a hole in the base covered with a mini log and moss.

There are lots of picnic tables nearby, please take the box to one and enjoy my kid’s favorite lunch.

This area can be high traffic, please be very discreet when finding this box. Please be sure to reseal baggies and boxes carefully so that they stay dry and rehide boxes in their original location, completely hidden from view.

Thanks:)

Happy Boxing
