The address for this park is 1851 South Melrose Drive, Vista, CA. If you look up the directions anywhere online, it will only tell you how to get to the general area on South Melrose where 1851 should be. That will get you close enough. Here’s what you need to know more specifically: follow the online directions to S. Melrose. When you get toward where 1851 S. Melrose should be, look for Shadowridge Drive (which intersects S. Melrose) and make a right on Shadowridge Drive. You will drive past some baseball diamonds and come to a small street called Antigua. Make a left on this street and that will take you into the parking lot

Scary Forest (Snow White)- *MISSING*
The area that this box is in reminds me of the scary forest that Snow White had to run though when the woodsman was chasing her.

Enter from Gate “B;” this gate is up the road a bit (west) from the yellow gate closest to the parking lot. To get there, walk along the picnic area across the road from the pond for about 150 yards.

Follow the path with the narrow eucalytus trees on the left and the chain link fence on the right. Continue on that path until you get to the large clearing. Follow the left most path toward the large wide tree. When you get to the middle of the thicket of trees, you will see the “dead man’s rope” hanging from one of the trees. Walk to the first large tree that you would encounter on your right when you entered the thicket. This tree has two trunks that form a “V”. At the vertex of the V, one of the trunk bases has a hollow area. Snow White is hiding in there, covered by some branches and debris.

Three Bears
Walk along the path under the “dead man’s rope” tree. Continue along the path until you get the bridge with the wooden troll (a post with a face painted on it). Cross the bridge and follow the path. You will continue walking along the chain link fence until you come to another area with trees. Walk among the trees until you come to another small clearing; the path will fork around the bushy area in the middle of the clearing. You should also hear water from a river on your right. Go to your right for about 25 yards until you find the path leading to the river.

In the river, you will see the final remains of the Baby Bear Bridge (it looks like a ladder). Across from that remnant is a dead tree stump stuck in the bank of the river. Hidden in the base of the tree is the Three Bears stamp.

(Note: When we originally scoped out this area, there were three colorful wooden bridges that spanned this river crossing. They were handmade by somebody, they were rickety and treacherous, and they were loads of fun to cross. One was large (for the Papa Bear), one was medium (for Mama), and one was small (for the Baby Bear). But since that time, park officials tore down the bridges – probably because they were so rickety! All that now remains is a small remnant of the Baby Bear Bridge.)

Smurfs *MISSING*
Return back toward the picnic area via the way you came. When you get back to the “thin tree” area, look for the roots of the “fallen tree.” Continue to walk along until you see the orange (vulgar) piece of graffiti drawn on one of the tree trunks on your right. About 15 yards from the “Orange Missile” is the entrance to another part of the enchanted forest on your right. Walk through the thin eucalyptus trees until you see a large burned out tree stump. (you’ll know it because it looks like a path). Hidden in the rear-most hollowed out branch of that tree stump is the Smurfs stamp (look all around this tree). This is a foam stamp and may need more ink.
