~This box was formerly a postal letterbox and now Peter has decided he wants to settle down in one place. Therefore, he has made his home in Hampton at the H.E. Preston Nature Sanctuary located on Route 97 almost directly across from Kimball Hill Road.

There is no ink pad in this box and you will need markers to achieve the look that is in the log book. I have left the original log book from Peter's traveling days in the box.

Clues:
Once you have parked, head downhill past the gate on the yellow blazed trail. Cross a small stream and head into Gross Field. Go up the hill, heading to the far right corner of the field. Here, the blazes will lead you back into the treeline.

Pass a stone wall or two and then come to an opening in a third wall. Immediately after going through this opening, you will make a 90 degree right hand turn heading downhill.

Curve left with the trail and soon you will see the Little River off to your right. Pass a ~9 foot stump on your left. Walk next to this river for a spell and then head left away from it with the trail.
Very soon you will spot the end of a stonewall off trail on the right. (this is very soon after you may encounter some Woodelves ;-)

Go to the end of the stone wall where it is about 3 feet high. Walk 7 steps up the right side of this wall and look low in the wall to see where Peter has made his home.

When you are done stamping in, go back to the trail, turn right and follow the yellow blazes to Gross Field. Go up the hill and bear left to find the small stream that you crossed in the beginning.

We hope you have enjoyed the walk.

Flutterby & Evie~
