Nebraska City is known for its apple orchards, some with heirloom apples from centuries past. They grow hazelnuts and there's a lovely forest trail with a bridge built of Douglas Fir. All of these can easily be found in my home state of Oregon. I felt right at home in this charming town.

For years I had been led to believe that Nebraska was flat, had no trees and only grew corn and soybeans. Well, I'm here to tell you that they Lied! I'd Lodge a complaint, if only I knew who to contact.

Enter via the grand, green doors and exit by the hearth. You will be surrounded by the sage words of great men. Head for Adventure, over the river and through the woods. Heed the signs along the way.

When you've passed a year at the farm and come to the end of my brethren's shed, you will see a light post to your left. From the light post walk ten steps at 240 degrees magnetic. Then go twenty more at 300. Look behind the tree beneath bark and leaves.
