PLEASE NOTE: After construction of a new deck, this box appears to have gone missing!

Hopelands Gardens is a beautiful historical garden. When you go you will see The Thoroughbred Hall of Fame and Museum. At Christmas time you can go and enjoy the beautiful Christmas lights. You can go at different times of the year and enjoy some wonderful music.
The house and gardens were owned by Mr. and Mrs. C. Oliver Iselin. The main house was demolished in 1970. It was about 70 years old. The fountains are just beautiful. If you are lucky you might be able to get your picture taken there. I hope you can visit Hopelands Gardens.

To find the letterbox, turn off Whiskey Road on to Berrie Road. Enter Hopeland Gardens on the right at the Rye Patch/Stables entrance. Park your car by the Carriage Museum. Walk down the dirt road, if you see a mirror you are on track. Turn right and head under the arched branch tunnel bridge. Turn left at the pond. If you cross the second bridge then you have gone too far. Follow the path past the second house on the pond keep going to the stone gazebo. Turn left on to the brick path. Follow it to the “t” and the sweet gum tree. Pass the Dollhouse on your left. Keep going until you see the white railed deck with the copper caps. Turn left at the gray steps. If you see Mrs. Iselin and the triple pools you have gone too far. The box is hidden under the 3rd gray step. You may have to lie down to get to it.

(This Letterbox was placed by Aiken County 3rd graders.)
