This box is in tribute to my dad, who spent many years working on an offshore drilling rig in the Gulf of Mexico. One of the company's main offices was located in New Iberia. This lb is located in the City Park. Find the walking path from the Veterans’ Memorial Building and walk along the river until you see the silver sculpture, “Uplift”, on the side away from the river. I chose the location of this lb because of the name of the sculpture. My dad has always known how to lift me up, even in the worst of times. So it seemed only fitting to place the lb near a sculpture called Uplift. Go to the bench that isn’t part of a couple, surrounded by bushes and facing the square pavilion and ball fields. When looking at the bench, the box is outside the right bench leg beneath the bushes.
