**NOTE - It was fun while it lasted, but this box never turned up. Since I don't live anywhere near NOLA, I doubt that I will replace it.

New Orleans and the French Quarter were major stops on my and cousin JB Kokopelli’s Circle Tour of 2007 first annual road trip. I’m happy to report that the French Quarter is alive and well; although some shops are still closed post-Katrina, most of the area is back in full-swing. We enjoyed the Moon Walk down the bank of the Mississippi River as the fog rolled out in the morning. The beautiful Natchez steam-engine river boat runs up and down the “Mighty Mississippi” and docks along the Moon Walk.

Park at the end of the Moon Walk nearest Canal Street and begin your stroll. Wander past the silver sculptures and the immigrant statue, and locate the granite sign in honor of Malcolm W. Woldenberg, one of Louisiana’s foremost philanthropists, on the left. Face the sign with your back toward the river. The box is on the right end of the sign on the ground under the bushes. If you reach the Natchez ticket booth, you’ve gone too far. There is a bench next to the sign where you can do your stamping.
