Summerland is a tiny seacoast town located between Carpinteria & Montecito. Take Exit #91 North or South from Highway 101.
To solve the mystery of Summerland's nickname:
Where Lillie meets Evans & turns into Ortega Hill there's a 4-way stop. You'll see the little post office, formerly a gas station, & a wonderful old crumbling mural depicting Summerland's past. Face the post office & look across the street to your left. To the left of a pair of tall bushy evergreens there's a rustic homemade bench. You should wander over & take a load off your feet. Shift the right end of the plank seat slightly & pull up the prize attached to the stick you'll find hidden therein. Discretion is a challenge - it's a busy little area!
