Box 1: Park on N. Main Street near Analy High School. Start at the West County Trailhead at High School Road/N. Main Street across from Analy High School. Walk down trail. This trail traces the former railroad track that went from Petaluma and Santa Rosa to Sebastopol and Forestville.
There is an informational sign at the start of the trail. Check out both sides.
Ready to have some fun?
From that sign, walk about 100 paces to a redwood tree on the left. And then there are two small oak trees . The second one has a stone at the base, under which is the letterbox.
Box 2: Continue on up the trail until you have crossed three roads. The last one is Hurlbut (the others don't have visible road signs at trail crossings.) Continue another quarer mile. You will see a paved trail going off to the left. Go up that trail 72 steps, on the left is a scrubby apple tree/bush. At it's base is a big red rock and underneath it is your sweet pickin's.
