"A" Mountain Letterbox - Revised 1/7/08 LbNA #28331 (ARCHIVED)

This letterbox is hidden on "A" Mountian on the ASU campus in Tempe, AZ. For the shortest walk park some where near Third Street and Mill Street. Once you park, on the NE corner of Third Street and Mill Street there is a restricted parking lot next to an old mill. Enter the parking lot along the new rail line. Straight ahead of you will be a sign for the Leonard Monti Trail. Continue on this trail. In a short distance (about 65 steps) you will come to a "T", go right. Continue walking along the trail, you will pass a bench on your left and another trail leading upwards on your left. Do not take this trail - stay on the same trail until you come to the informational sign about a black tail jack rabbit, on your right. Stop at this point. With the jack rabbit sign to your right, look to your left for a bushy plant (I think a cresote bush)along the trail. Behind this bush and under some rocks (look under the bigger one)is the letterbox you seek.
