Stanley Marsh 3, the local eccentric millionaire, has commissioned quirky art projects all over town. The best known may be Cadillac Ranch, but his "Ozymandias" is also worth seeing.
To find this box, take the Sundown exit (exit 115) off of I-27 about 8 miles south of Amarillo. Turn as if you're going east on Sundown Road and almost immediately you will see the glory that is Ozymandias.
Stop to read the "historical" marker and glory in its weirdness.
Put your compass on the lower right corner of the ledge in front of the marker. About three to five steps away from the marker, on a bearing of 230°, is the rock which covers this letterbox.
NOTE: The lid to this box screws shut, so please make sure that you fit the stamp back into the box so that the lid can be closed all the way, then close it TIGHTLY to keep it dry! This area is usually pretty quiet, but your discretion is still appreciated. Please make sure to replace the box where you found it, so that it's completely concealed, and protected for the next finder. Thank you!
