I am bummer cuz this was my first box but it has gone missing. I think a bunch of ducks nested there and had lots of egs and the box was discovered.

I “HEART” Reading box #1

I am starting a letterbox series having to do with books and reading. I feel it is important that people of all ages read as much as they can. Children need to soak up things, it is their nature, and teaching them that reading is fun and free (at the library) will give them a great start. People should keep reading even as they get older to keep their memories strong.

North Port, FL is known to be “paradise” as so nicknamed. It is one of the largest land masses in the state of FL but is only about 15% populated (This info was from a couple years ago). The town is growing and is a fun place to visit.

To get to the North Port library take 75 South to exit 191 to US 41 or Tamiami Trail (was the longest and first road built that went all the way from Tampa to Miami. You can still follow this road and get from Tampa to Miami but it will take awhile.  ) The library is located on US 41 in North Port.

Once you have found the library take a right into the parking lot and park. (be careful as this is a small parking lot and little children and moms are always about) Drive slowly.

Park 16 spaces form the entrance, next to a divider with a tree in it. Get out of your car and walk straight into the duck pond area. Go left and start walking around the pond. Go around the left end of the pond and look for the Pine tree with a group of palms and palm bushes all bunched together near the sidewalk but still in the pond area. Look inside the palm bushes and in the center is a hollow. This is where we hid this box. It is covered with bark and palms. Camo box. Please rehide really well.

Take a stroll around the rest of the pond and when you come the the right end of the pond you will find a nice Veterans Memorial.
