This letterbox is located at Pickle Springs Natural Area. Visit this link for directions to the park and more information: http://www.greatriverroad.com/stegen/sgattract/picklesprings.htm

Pickle Springs Natural Area is located on Dorlac Road. Follow MO-32 west of Ste. Genevieve from the junction at I-55 past Hawn State Park to County Road AA. Follow AA about 1 mile to Dorlac Road and then about 1/2 mile along this gravel road to the parking lot at the trailhead.

Go under the arches and through the keyhole. Is it a turtle or a rabbit? Either way this massive animal stands guard over your prize. Though it's usually advised to stay ON the path, you'll have to stray just a bit to find this box. At the bottom of the footbridge, hang a sharp right and go back the way you came. Be careful because the slope is slippery, especially when wet! In front of you is a huge tree. At its base you'll see a hiding place under a big rock. The box is in a grey plastic bag (we forgot to bring new ziplock bags when we came to check on the box during our last hike).

Please be sure to rehide the box and let us know if the box or the contents are damaged. We're still trying to get the hang of how to hide our letterboxes in a way that keeps them safe and dry!

Thanks!!!
