As of the placement date of this box, Houston had the most letterboxes listed on LBNA of any city (184), thus making it the Letterbox Capital of North America. This is even more amazing when you consider that the entire state of Texas had less boxes than Houston just a few years ago. I think this is possible because of all the parks found in Houston, thus providing so many places to hide boxes. This box is dedicated to all the placers that helped make this happen, and is hidden in Memorial Park, the park with the most boxes in Houston.

Directions:
From I610, take Woodway east inside the loop. At North Picnic Lane, go right. As the road curves to the left and starts to straighten out, pull into the parking lot on your right just before the baseball field.

Clues:
Cross the bridge and turn left on the path next to the parking area. Go past the rugby field on your right on into the woods. At junction, go right on Purple trail and continue past the unmarked trail on the right, the yellow trail on the left, the purple jct on the right, to the next yellow trail on the left. Continue on the Purple trail another 95 steps to a pine tree on the right with a double-trunk oak tree 2 steps behind it (if you come to the orange trail, you have gone too far). Look 8 steps behind the oak tree for a 1 foot high stump. The microbox is within the stump center under bark. Please re-cover well.
