Lyrics:
Everybody wants to be a pirate,
Everybody wants to go to sea,
Everybody wants to be a pirate,
A pirate of the Genesee.

Every pirate needs a treasure,
Whether silver, gold, or PZ,
You’ll start your adventure,
At the rink in GVP.

You’ll find lots of parking,
You don’t have to pay a fee,
Then just start walking,
Towards the banks of the Genesee.

You’ll find a nice path there,
Lined with lots of willow trees,
Willow is good, but Elmwood’s great!
Go under it if you’d please.

After the bridge the trail will split,
Stay near the Genesee,
Soon you’ll see a platform there,
Can you see the University?

The treasure lies below here,
Safely hidden out of sight,
The box is round and painted black,
Start under to the right.

Long metal I-beams hold up,
The platform firm and strong.
The box rests behind one,
I hope your arms are long!

Reach behind the I-beam,
The south-west corner it will be,
Waiting for a pirate,
To claim for his booty.

Everybody wants to be a pirate,
Everybody wants to be free,
Everybody wants to be a pirate,
A pirate of the Genesee.
