To get to Bridgestone/Firestone Centennial Wilderness, from Sparta, take 70 east up the plateau past the Rock House Historic Site (on your right just before starting up the mountain) and past the Scenic Overlook (on north or left side of Highway 70 about halfway up the mountain). One mile past the Bondecroft School (on north or left side of highway 70) in Derossett, you will turn right onto Eastland Road at the Bondecroft Headstart Village. Go about 5.7 miles on Eastland Road to the junction of Eastland Road and the Scott’s Gulf Road (entering from the right). Follow the dirt/gravel road about 2.5 miles. Park at the Virgin Falls Pocket Wilderness parking area on the right. (150 yards past Polly Branch Falls Trailhead on the left). The path on the right of the parking lot has a small sign that says Main Trail. Take this trail about 1/4 mile until you come to a stump that is about 2 feet tall, about 2 steps off the path on the right. Box is inside.

Continue on the path. Step over a small creek that crosses the path, go about another 1/4 mile. Just before another creek crosses the path, see a giant flat triangle boulder on the left side of the path that measures about 10 feet by 6 feet. It looks like it doesn't belong here. The box is under this big boulder, on the side farthest from the stream, tucked between the boulder and a tree and covered by a small rock.
