Wheeler Wildlife Refuge hghwy 67 about 2 1/2 miles off I 65

Pull in main entrance and drive to parking lot. After parking, enter the building and check out the film and displays. Interesting, huh? When you are ready, go back outside and walk to the north west corner of the building. Across the drive is the opening of the path marked simply, "Wildlife Observation Building".

1.Enter the trail and very shortly you will come to a sign that directs you to be "quiet please". Walk 13 steps further, on the left is a broken tree, in three pieces, but not all the way flat down. Look beneath it.

2.Moving right along, you'll go 8 more steps. Stop. Turn ninety degrees to the left. A short way off the path is a tree whose life was cut short at about nine feet. The second box is hidden inside this hulk.

3.Move back to the path. You'll pass a bench. Keep going. When you come to the bridge, stop. Turn 180 degrees at the spot where your hand first touches the handrail. Walk back 5 steps. Make a left 90 degree turn. You should be looking at the place on a fallen log where #3 is hidden under leaves.

4.March on to the Observation Building. A fence has been erected to keep people on the path here. Check the base of the last tree before the fence. You'll find #4 buried under leaves.
While you are here anyway, you ought to go on in and observe some wildlife. Have fun and good luck.
