A Thanksgiving Letterbox
Enter Buffalo Park (south of Central and east of Maize) and as you park in the parking lot think back on the influence of the buffalo to American history and thank God for our great country and the religious freedom we enjoy. Walk along the sidewalk and as you pass the playground equiptment, pause to thank God for the children in your life. In a grove of oak trees, sit at one of the three picnic tables and thank God for the food you eat each day. Notice the alley of tall pines and the tennis courts. Thank God for your health. What is that by the tennis courts? A trinity of conifers. Thank God for His presence in your life. Where, oh where could that letterbox be? Shelter house in front, basketball court behind, Trinity trees to your left... Go right! Is that a clothesline over there? Thank you, God, for our "material" blessings. A locust tree with a low growing juniper to its right. It is the edge of the park, this must be it! The letterbox is at the base of the tree. Thank God for your ability to think and have fun! Happy Thanksgiving and continue thanks-living!
