Alive and well as of 6/10/09, added a new hand carved stamp and replaced the filled log book .
To find the Londonderry Town Pound, start in Manchester and take Mammonth Road, Rt. 128, South into Londonderry. Watch for a green historical marker sign on the left. If you get to the fire station you missed it. (The Town Pound is 0.3 mile north of the Londonderry fire station.)
Park in front of the structure and head inside.
FYI: Ye Old Londonderry Pound is dated 1730. Stray animals were confined here by elected persons until “ransomed” by their owners. In 1730, David Dickey kept the first Pound.
Clues;
Once inside the gate.
Look left and---
Walk left 5 feet (or so).
Treasure is camouflaged, at ground level, behind a small piece of granite.
PLEASE rehide carefully to avoid vandals.
Thanks!
