These boxes are missing. Hope to replace soon.

There is a public fishing parking area in Benton City on 14th St. near Babs St. (across from Hillview Mobile Home Park). You need a permit to park right in this parking area (unless you are with a youth organization), but you should be able to find a place nearby to park. Look carefully for the trails. Some may be difficult to see.

Box 1- "READINESS"
Start at the gate entrance from this parking area to the trail. Follow the trail south and as it curves right (west). Follow it until you come to a broken down barb wire fence. Turn left toward the river along the fenceline until you come to large tree. The "Readiness" box is hidden in the crotch of this tree.

Box 2- "DEFEND"
Go back to the broken down barb wire fence, turning right back onto the main trail. Start back the way you came on the main trail. Watch for a fork in the trail. Stay right at this fork heading toward the river. Stop at the spot where four trails meet. Look slightly down river to find a tree branch arched like a rainbow. Stand at the arched branch and look north across the trail. There is a tree with dark sap at its base. The "DEFEND" box is hidden in the crotch of that tree.

Box 3- "HONOR"
Go back toward the arched tree branch, turning left on the trail to go through a cluster of overhanging trees. Continue on till you reach a wonderful tree hut. (Be careful of thorns in this area.) At the tree hut take the trail to the right towards the river. Follow the trail along the river (which is about 20 feet away). Stop on the plywood and face the river. The "HONOR" box is hidden in the tangle of branches right in front of you.

Box 4- "CHARITY"
Hike back to the "tree hut" then continue up the hill to the main trail at the edge of the field. Go right (east) on the main trail. Look for a concrete pipe buried on the left hand side of the trail. Go 1o more paces then turn right onto a trail. Follow the trail south under a fallen tree, then down toward the river. Keep left on the trail following the river downstream. Where the trail forks around a tree, stay left on the trail. Follow it through a grove of creeking trees. Stop in an area where the trees form a sheltered area. Stand in this sheltered area and look up the trail away from the river. The "CHARITY" box is at the cluster of trees about 30 feet ahead of you. Look on the north side in the crotch of the tree trunk and a cut off trunk.

Continue to follow the trail north. Go right on the main trail to return to the parking area.
