Take A Hike Club
Desert Blossom Letterbox
For the hiking impared - short and very easy.
Going south from the 60, take the 111 to Palm Springs. Pass Gene Autry Blvd. to Broadmoor and turn right. It is a short block to a dirt road up into the hills. Park on the street or on the dirt road near the locked gate blocking vehicle access to the road. Walk around the the gate and immediately start counting your paces…count 150 or more paces from the gate (maybe 1/2 a block). On your right you will pass a rocky hill, and you will see a second rocky hill with a shallow, natural drainage ditch running along side. At the base of the second hill you will see a loose, rocky wall about five or six feet high and about 25 or 30 feet long. At the south end of the rocky wall, at the base of the second hill, the Desert Blossom Letterbox is stashed. Look for a pile of rocks with a little bush next to it, a curved rusty wire sticking up about 1 foot, and beside it, a 10 inch circle of rocks forming a rocky Desert Blossom.

This is a puzzle, so uncover the box, do your work, and put it all back together.

Then you can continue up the road to discover two other letterboxes placed by Chocolate Bunny. Have fun whatever you do.
