***** I'm sorry to say that this letterbox is now missing. Before it went missing, I saw many many notes and stamps from people all over the place. It was wonderful! I'm very sad to say that someone took the box and I have no idea where it is. If anyone knows what happened to this particular box, please let me know. Thanks! Look for more Cowboy Jack boxes soon though! We might replace this one...*****

LOCATION: Kent, Ohio, Jessie Smith Wildlife Preserve on Majors Lane.

LETTERBOX SERIES: JACK
LETTERBOX #1: COWBOY JACK
PLANTED: November 8, 2006
BY: The Umeiba Family
EQUIPMENT NEEDED: Your personal stamp, your own journal to stamp in, stamp pad if you wish (marker included in box just in case). Some people bring a wipee in case they get ink all over. Depending on the weather, you might want waterproof boots too.
DIFFICULTY: Easy. Best to do during daylight.
TIME: 10 minutes, tops. But set aside extra time to sit and meditate. It’s very peaceful and ‘less traveled by’.

CLUE:
JACK WAS A COWBOY,
JACK HAD STEEL NERVES,
JACK RODE HIS HORSE TO THE WILDLIFE PRESERVE.

JACK BE NIMBLE,
JACK BE FAIR,
JACK PARKED HIS HORSE IN THE PARKING LOT THERE.

JACK GOT DOWN,
JACK LOOKED AROUND,
JACK FOLLOWED A BLACK GRAVEL TRAIL ON THE GROUND.

JACK WALKED ALONG,
AMONG TREES GALORE,
JACK SAW A FORK AFTER PASSING POST FOUR.

JACK BE WITTY,
JACK BE BRIGHT,
JACK TOOK THE FORK THAT WENT TO THE RIGHT.

JACK BE NIMBLE,
JACK BE BRAVE,
JACK FOUGHT THE POND MONSTER TO GET TO THE STAGE.

JACK BE A COMEDY,
JACK SING A SONG,
JACK COULD DANCE ON THE STAGE ALL DAY LONG…

JACK EXIT STAGE RIGHT,
JACK LOOK TOWARD THE GROUND,
UNDER THE STAGE CORNER A LETTERBOX HE FOUND!

JACK MADE HIS MARK,
JACK PUT EVERYTHING BACK,
JACK LEFT THE PRESERVE LEAVING EVERY LEAF INTACT.

Just wanted to thank everyone who has stamped our book! It's so exciting to see all your stamps! The letterbox is still there and in good shape. If you haven't found it yet, this is a great time of year to go look for it!
