This is around 200 yards from parking area.
Flat ground
We have decided to do a series of letterboxes with the disc golf theme. There are several listed on tulsadiscsports.org and pdga.com, so hopefully we’ll get to them all. These disc golf courses are usually in existing parks. There are also other websites dedicated to this sport and should provide you with the information needed to find these letterboxes.
A January baby could look at their jewelry to find the street this park is on. There are several places to park at this park. You should choose the lot directly opposite from the main entrance to the play area and hole #1, it is on the east side of the road. Park here and walk to the map of the park. Head south to the fitness court. While facing the fitness court go to the left edge and walk straight east to the tree line (approximately 100 yards.) Depending on how straight you walked there should be a wide path continuing slightly NE into the trees (on test runs everyone ended up at a slightly different spot, but you should be close enough to "the wide path through the trees" to see it.) Walk until you find the drop-off to the creek. You should see a giant smiley face over the creek. Turn around the way you came and look for the TALL tree ahead of you and slightly to your left. There is a hole on the left side of the tree in the ground with the letterbox in it. Have fun!
We are a family of 5 and we hope to hide many more letterboxes. The clues should have different looks depending upon which family members make them up. As always, we enjoy hearing from you and welcome comments and suggestions.
