**RETIRED 4/2010 ** Geocache was planted next to the box, and the stamp is now missing. No plans to replace in this location.

The Tuscola County Courthouse is a beautiful building located in Caro, the Tuscola county seat. It was designed by Detroit architect William H. Kuni and built by Cecil M. Kelly, a Caro native, and faced with Indiana limestone. After admiring this building, on State Street in downtown Caro, you can search for a stamp honoring it by driving south on M-24 to Chippewa Landing.

Park by the boat launch, and proceed across a small bridge. Take time to enjoy the recreation facilities and observe some of the memorials along the way. Continue across the big bridge, then follow the multi-use trail until you reach a bench donated by a local car dealership.

Continue past this bench, until the people trail meets the truck trail. Follow the path of the autos 34 steps to a small trail on the right. Sneak down this trail to its end at an arch. From the center of the arch, face the trail. The “limestone” is amidst the unnatural "rocks" to your left.
