Drive on U. S. Highway 93 either north from Wickenburg or south from I-40. Near mile post 140 turn west on the road to the Burro Creek Campground (BLM). Turn into the campground and park at the picnic area.
Walk northeast through the campground to the far northeast edge of the camp. Look for a trail entrance in the wire fence where there are a bunch of round wood posts. Walk on the trail which goes generally north. It will wind around a little then go down a little. You will soon arrive at an old faint dirt road on your right. Walk on it. It will start out going northeast and then turn right and go east up the slope. From the right turn, walk up the road for about 90 steps. Look to your right and you will see a lone armless Saguaro Cactus about 8 steps off the road. From this Saguaro, go at about 202 degrees (from mag. north) for about 25 steps to a moderate size Palo Verde Tree. There is a Hedgehog Cactus under its northwest side and a Creosote Bush under its east side. The box is under its southeast side under a flat rock covered with some twiggy plant debris. Be alert for snakes.
Please be sure the contents are double ziplocked when you put them back in the box (i.e. the stamp is in a ziploc, the book is in a ziploc, and the two are in the larger ziploc bag). Please rehide the box well under the rock and covered with some plant debris so that it can not be seen from any direction.
