Distance to Mini-box: About 200 Yards
Difficulty: easy
Status of Mini-box: Box is alive, but damaged tree and box.
The "Snow Dog" mini-box is located in A.D. Dyees park, a softball and soccer complex north of Cypress, Texas. This park also has a protected wetlands area in the back (saw deer running around back there).
Directions:
From Hwy 290, exit Telge Road and go north. Go past Spring Cypress Rd, past Grant Rd, and then turn left at sign for park (on Kitzman Rd). Go about a mile or two (Passing May airport), and turn in right at park gate. Drive to the back parking area, and continue on one-way road to the very back. Turn right into last parking lot and go to end. Park near blue signs for Protected Wetlands.
To the Mini-box:
Walk on the path (roadway) east until fenced area on your right. As roadeay curves to the fence, continue straight into the grass for 34 steps. Right to multi-trunk tree. Box is in middle of the trunks, covered with sticks. Please cover it back up!
