Schoolhouse Meadow lies directly across from Braewood Farm. The Meadow sits across the street from the intersection of Wood Road and Croton Lake Road. This always has been one of my favorite places. It is also a very popular place for people to "hang out" at during the day and at night. This meadow is a very important example of preserving "open space".
History: The property is owned by the Wood family since the early 1800's. The house is registered by the National Register of Historic places. The Woods used to have corn growing in this field and a Farm stand in the 70's. The land was recently donated to the Land Trust. This donation maintain's the family's heritage and protects the town's rural character for generations to come. All of our grand children will be able to see the same beautiful scenery as we do today. In this meadow, a single room schoolhouse once stood. It once served District 9 in Bedford.

Directions to the box: Next to the red gate is a tulip tree. Take 14 paces to the left. The box sits on top of wall underneath a bunch of stones. Please rehide well, using same stones. Very busy spot. Do not disturb the beautiful free standing stone wall. Do not allow your children to climb.
It appears that many "non-letterboxers" have found, logged in, doodled and removed the stamp pad. They do not always place back in the same spot. You may even find it shoved in a crack along side of the wall. Please replace on top of the wall if you find it here. (14 paces from the tree.)

Please email me if pad is missing again. I have replaced the pad but be prepared to have your own with you.
