SPECIAL THANKS TO LIONSMANE FOR HELPING TO PLACE THIS BOX.

Billy the Kid was one of the most notorious outlaws of the American West. According to legend, he killed at least 21 men, one for every year of his young life, before he was gunned down in the Chihuahuan Desert by New Mexico Sheriff Pat Garrett in 1881. On July 14, Pat Garrett, together with two deputies, sat in a darkened bedroom at the Fort Sumner ranch home of Billy's friend, Pete Maxwell. Garrett was asking Maxwell about Billy's whereabouts when Billy, in his stocking feet, unexpectedly entered Maxwell's quarters, spotting, but not recognizing Garrett in the dim light. "Who is it?" were the last words Billy ever uttered. Garret pumped two shots from his revolver, one of which went straight into Billy's heart. Billy the Kid was buried the next day in a cemetery near Fort Sumner between his two outlaw pals, Tom O'Folliard and Charlie Bowdre, where his grave can be seen to this day, along with this microbox. My original Billy The Kid box went missing, but instead of a replacement, this is a new stamp in a new location and can be counted as a new box. So even if you got the first one, come again to visit Billy and his new box.

Directions:
Billy The Kid's grave is located near Old Fort Sumner Museum in the Ft. Sumner Military Cemetery. It is located 6 miles southeast of Fort Sumner via US 60, and south 3 miles on Billy The Kid Road. Park at the museum and walk around back to see his grave.

Clues:
Facing Billy's tombstone, turn right and take four steps. You should be next to a sign explaining Billy's elusive tombstone. While facing this sign, follow the left post down to the ground and then over to the concrete. The camo microbox is under the concrete walkway concealed by rocks. Please be discrete and re-cover well.
