Take Hanover St (Route 34 or Holly Pike) South toward Mt Holly Springs. Take a right onto Pine St. Follow Pine Street for awhile. You will cross over some railroad tracks. Keep going for awhile longer. You will see Kings Gap General Store on the right. Just across the road on the left side of the road is the entrance to the Kings Gap State Park Education and Recreation Center. We have hidden the box in the Kings Gap State Park. Almost half way up the mountain is a little pull off on the right. Pull off and park here.

The reason this box is called blast from the past is actually because of the Kings Gap General Store. Its a great place to visit for many reasons. When you step inside its like going back in time. There used to be stores like this around almost anywhere about 20-30 years ago. Now we have Uni-Marts instead. After hiking around the trails in the park you can come back down to the general store and get some ice cream, subs, or cold drinks before heading home, but without a million other people or long lines. You can sit outside while having your purchases and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Now for the box. When you get out of your car cross over the wooden bridge that leads up to the pond. When you get up to the pond take the trail left around the pond. Then up the hill where the trail comes to a tee. Turn left. You will come to another wooden bridge. Cross over and continue on up the trail. You will come to another fork in the trail. Turn right this time. You will come to a third and fourth bridge. Cross over the third but pass by the fourth. Just up the trail you will find a fifth bridge. Cross over the fifth bridge and just before the sixth bridge and across the path next to the left fork of a Y in the path, there is a double stump. This is where we have hidden the box. It is covered with bark and leaves. Be careful not to let anyone see you uncover the box. We hope you enjoy the park and the box.
