Mistletoe grows on trees throughout the state and is particularly bountiful in southern regions of Oklahoma. The dark green leaves and white berries show up brightly during the fall and winter in trees that have shed their own leaves. Even though it is a fungus, Mistletoe is our official state floral emblem and particularly helpful during the holidays to help us get an extra kiss now and then!

Clues:
Travelling north on the Indian Nations Turnpike stop in the rest stop (Eastside, northbound) at mile marker 83.

Drive past the restrooms and park. Take the sidewalk at the north end toward the picnic tables. At the Y go right. Walk behind the red canopied table through the opening in the fence and (carefully) down the path toward the Canadian River. The path will go around the left end of a natural stone wall - go past the wall and looking back toward the rest stop - there is a large crack in the top of the wall near the right end. The mistletoe is growing in the crack beneath a sliver of a rock.
