Directions:
In The Dark was planted at Barberville Falls in Poestenkill, NY. Take I-90 East to Exit 7. Follow Washington Avenue east to Defreestville. Go straight through the light at Route 4, taking Route 43 to West Sand Lake. Approximately 0.7 miles beyond the light in West Sand Lake, turn left onto Route 351. Continue straight through the red light at Route 66 to Poestenkill. In Poestenkill, turn right at the blinking light onto County Route 40 (Plank Rd.). Continue 1.6 miles and turn left onto Blue Mountain Factory Rd. (Co. Rte. 79). There is a small parking area immediately on the left.
**This is a micro-box and you will need your own ink pad and a pen.
Clues:
Take the trail down to the falls. At the intersection, stand under the “Trail to Base of Falls” sign. Take a reading of 170 degrees and go 15 paces to a huge rock. On the right side of the rock, under some smaller rocks, is In The Dark. Please be discreet as this is a busy area. Thanks!
*To get a better view of the Falls, you can take the Base trail or go back to the intersection and go right, down to an overlook.
