This hunt is currently in need of up keep. Stamps are missing and a recent email told me that the area may have changed since first posting.

Will be updating as soon as possible. IF you are reading this I have not made the changes yet.

Locate Valley Trail on Hwy 101, about 11.8 miles north of Florence. It sits just South of Washburne State Park on the east side of Hwy 101. (To locate a map for the area contact the park office at Washburne camping area) Valley Trail is marked in a small parking area on the east side of Hwy 101 a sign points to the trail head. After parking start your journey at the trail head labeled Valley Trail and China Loop.

Number ONE is currently MISSING!! Will be replacing soon. Posted 7/12/08

Currently this hunt is inactive due to lost stamps, and enviornment changes.

Walk along the trail passing trees, and walls of interesting natural creation. Soon the path will become winding, with sharp turns ahead. Before entering into the upcoming twists and turns notice a clear path off to your right that descends down a hill possibly created by the local deer or very large dwelling salamanders and yet still possibly created by human wondering to an interest of their own. Continue this side path to a fallen giant. Your first hidden treasure is near. Not high, but low, not a blanket of snow, though covered it is under greens to grow. At the foot without a toe if you have passed the four standing to far you will go. With a giant to your back and those standing tall at your front you can’t miss this treasure if you begin to hunt.

Head back to the main trail furthering down valley trail to begin your search for number two.

Passing the wishing bone you’re on the right track.
View the water threw the crack.
Two trees divide by an antler,
Go down one step take your time and look around.
Not too far
Stay away from the water
Down low, hidden below
You will locate what you seek.

Return to the trail further you will find number three.

This travel is longer than those before, beyond the viewing deck and cross two bridges. One made of wood, and another that is formed from a dirt and sand path. After quite a hike find the tree full of tunnels. If you see the sign pointing to the china loop you must turn around some of us counted 90 paces while others counted 100. Locate beside you a log that sits on the ground forming the edge of the path. Next to it grows a tree full of tunnels inside you’ll locate the last hidden treasure.

Enjoy the rest of the trail loop if you like. Please seal all containers to prevent weather damage and take care of the grounds.
