Ever want to have a mouth watering steak for dinner? Want to meet TV stars? Listen to cows mooing, roosters crowing? Then this place is for you. The Hitching Post Restaurant is world renown for their food. But there's a "hitch". Its in almost the middle of nowhere. Triangulate the cities of Santa Maria, Lompoc and Guadalupe.
At the turn of the century the railroad and oil boom made this a boomtown. The Casmalia Hotel/Saloon was sold in 1920 to a family that made it into a restaurant. In 1952 the owners became the third generation to own the restaurant and named it the Hitching Post.

Now to the clues:
Find Casmalia. Drive through town almost to the end. If you see the Bognuda Ranch you have gone too far. Locate the old fashioned electrical substation (see photo clue). Park in the dirt turn around. Starting from the substation walk 50 steps due South. Under the tree with the cut wood around it is where the box is. Its covered by leafs on the opposite side of the logs from the road.

Note: While I was hiding the box, a truck drove by to check out the strangers (us) that drove in to town. i just pretended i was taking photos of interesting leaves. I think the whole town is pretty aware of strange cars in the middle of the morning
