***THIS BOX IS CURRENTLY MISSING. Actually, not only did the whole box disappear, the rock it was hidden under has disappeared! We placed the box in the fall, and now realize that the park is too well-traveled in summer for easy concealment. We will try to recreate it and find a more stealthy hiding spot in the next month or so.***

This box is located in Kingsland Point Park in Sleepy Hollow. Kingsland Point Park is on the Hudson River, next to the Philipse Manor MTA train station. Take Route 9 to Palmer Avenue and follow it to the train station. Go over the overpass and make a left into the park. The park is free weekdays and usually Sundays, but they sometimes charge for parking on weekends. Be discrete on weekends, since the park is well-populated!

Follow the road from the park's entrance to the first parking area. At the end of the parking lot, follow the path that leads past the dog run to a playground. The playground has an unusual theme that will make you smile. Cross the playground to a very large tree standing alone with picnic benches underneath it.

With the river on your right, look ahead slightly left and find the birch tree leaning heavily left that makes a "Y" shape with another tree. Walk to the birch tree. Turn slightly left and take 20 paces directly towards the fence. Look on the ground immediately to your right. You will see a large stone on the ground, about 12" in diameter. The box is in the hollow under the stone. If you find it, I'd be happy to get an email from you.

Be sure to take a walk along the river and admire the lighthouse!
