Histamine Bliss
A Sonnet
Just south of Williamsport there is a road
Named for a certain kind of biting pest.
It’s not a roach, a centipede or toad;
It’s one much itchier than all the rest.
On finding the road, you travel till the end;
Near a water filtration plant you’ll park your ride.
Hike with the Bluebird; a mile or less you’ll wend
When you reach old growth you’ve found the place Box hides.
Find Hickory on left, then rotting tree
Cut log on right, 7 steps till path is blocked
Pace 18 to quad trunk at 260 degrees
Here is where you’ll find the treasure docked.
Your box is in the west trunk, way down low;
Stamp in, seal up, and on your way you go.
Trail is a lovely 2.7 mile easy-to-moderate hike. After finding the box, we encourage you to follow the rest of the trail; it will take you back to your starting point. You’ll find many unique features and historical elements as you continue.
***Please use discretion, snap lid tightly and replace securely. Box contains stamp and log; BYO ink and pen. A pace is two steps (left footfall, right footfall = one pace). We appreciate your comments regarding the condition of the box and its contents.***
