Difficulty: easy- could be muddy at times
Rated: sneakers.wood chips on trail.

Wm. H. Harsha Dam & Lake (Eastfork)

Driving:
From I-275 exit Rt. 125 east for 10 miles until you come to Rt. 222.
Turn left. Continue on 222 for a short distance (approx. 1 mile ) The entrance to Wm Harsha Dam & Lake will be on your right.( Slade Road.)
Take that road until you come upon a sign Tailwater, Picnic shelter. You want to keep going straight until you come to the Ranger Station -Visitor Center.

William Harsha Lake was authorized under the flood control act of 1938.The dam is about 4 miles south of Batavia, Ohio on the east fork of the Little Miami River.

Clues:
When walking from the parking lot head 240º from the Entrance sign to a brown foot bridge.
Check out the Deer Ridge trail maps.
From marker #1 you can walk the loop trail in either direction until you come to trail marker #3.
From that marker look for a place to sit.
Head 6 paces from bench @ 200º then go 4 paces off trail @ 320 º.
Look for a moss covered log lying in a NW-SE direction.
Something might be of interest to you on the SE end of that log.
thanks,
