Vacancier is the name of the ship that brought us to the beautiful Isles de Madeleine (Magdalen Islands) in the Gulf of the St. Lawarence. You can find the Vancancier LB in Havre-Aubert on the shoreline below the sand artists studio and shop:

Email me for a photo of the hiding spot. Or take your chances on this description alone:
At the bottom of the cliff (below the sand artists) are some large chunks of concrete that have fallen from above. Look for a piece 4- 5 feet across with some black spots. Just a few feet east is a pile of about 8-10 boulders 1-3 feet each with many smaller ones in between. Look under the largest of these, somewhat flat on top with white markings. The box (actually a plastic camo jar) is hidden underneath on the shore side, at the mid point of the boulder. The box is well buried with smaller stones to prevent it from being washed away in the high tide. You'll have do do some light hand digging. Replace as found, look around to ensure you are not being watched. Please bring some baggies and paper towel to dry everything out. This box is an orphan and will likley be months, if not years, between finds. Updates please to norasta! Thanks
