Newman Woldwalker Trail
Location: Batavia, Ohio (East Fork Lake)
Difficulty : moderate ,hills,dirt trails
Directions:
Take SR 125 Amelia from I-275 about 11 miles, Bantam Road is Left at the light and SR 222 is to the Right. Go to The Left, The park is about .5 Miles to the Left. Once on the Park Road, Be on the lookout as Newman Trail will cross the road. At this point take a Left on the gravel Rd.
Please bring along a stamp pad, pen, compass
Clues:
Not many clues on this one. You will start down the Newman Worldwaker Trail. You will walk about .25 mile. This trail starts out as a straight trail.
It will be like this for about .15 mile.
Then it will start going downhill in a hurry.
As you are walking downhill. Keep an eye to the right as you will be looking for a very Big and long Moss covered Tree laying parallel with the trail.
In the Center of that tree laying on the ground (On the Back Side) Will be a small rock lying on top of the letterbox. The box will be tucked under the log.
If you are on the letterbox side of the log you can also hunt for
Docman's letterbox about 5 feet to your right !
Thanks,
franzsolo...
