It is that time of year for the Simons Hancock Farm Annual Pumpkin Daze Fair and Giant Pumpkin Smash! This letterbox will be at the farm from Sept29-Oct29, 2006 only, as a tribute to the past 10 years of pumpkin smashing fun!
To find the letterbox:
Drive to Simons Hancock Farm on Rte.1 in Hancock, on the Hancock/Ellsworth town line. Once there, park in front of the main building. To your left you will see a wooden fence and green houses. At the end of the fence, closest to the greenhouse, you will see a lone tree as the end point for the fence. Look at the bottom of that tree, on the greenhouse side to find the letterbox covered with a rock and woodchips. Enjoy.
Note:
You missed this year's Giant Pumpkin Smash. However, be sure to mark your calendars for the first weekend in October for next year's Pumpkin Daze Fair and events: giant pumpkin smash (filled with candy and prizes), bouncing house, costume contest, pony rides, craft tables and 4"H" animals and exhibits.
