Webers Homemade Custard and Ice Cream is a must do for ice cream and/or custard lovers. Every time I come to Cleveland, I have to stop there several times! The store in Fairview Park opened in 1931. The original custard flavors (vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, banana, lemon, and frosted malt (of Higbees and May Company Department stores fame)) were developed in the 1930's or earlier. These custard flavors are always available. They also rotate special flavors of custard (like pumpkin, black raspberry, coconut,...) and have many flavors of ice cream.
Webers may be the last premium custard shop around. David Ford, who purchased the company in 1996, makes the frozen delights from scratch on the premises from all fresh ingredients. No artificial flavors here. One batch of strawberry ice cream takes 6 quarts of strawberries to make. The machines used are original machines that contain no iron. These machines are no longer being made. I would make someone franchise this store in Texas if it was possible!

Webers is located on 20230 Lorain Road in Fairview Park.
