Crooked Spring Letterbox

Directions:

From Drum hill Square (former rotary) turn off onto Old Westford Rd.
Turn right onto Graniteville Rd.
Turn right onto Richardson Rd.
Turn left onto Crooked Spring Rd.
Go left at the intersection between Crooked Spring Rd. and Meadowbrook Rd.
(Shortly after you pass Jordan St.) Turn left into the Crooked Spring Reservation Parking Lot and park here.

Clues:

1. Facing the water, take the Blue Cross Trail to the left. The water/ swampy area should be on your right side during the entire hike.
2. Follow the trail onto the road, pass over the stream and reenter the woods to the right at the trail marker.
3. Continue to follow the Blue Dot trail markers, and make sure that the water is still to your right.
4. Walk over a metal drainage pipe and continue along as the trail curves and turns left. (NOTE: There is now a bridge that crosses over the water, so you may walk over it instead of following the trail to the left.)
5. Continue walking straight until you see a road in front of you. Keep walking on the trail as it turns right.
6. Walk across the wooden platforms and over the wooden bridge.
7. Walk to the tree with the blue trail marker and stop here.
8. Look to the right for the twin trees. Walk behind the twin trees, and look to their base to find what you’re looking for.

Getting back:
You can either retrace your steps back to the Parking Lot
Or
Get back onto the trail walk straight (away from the bridge) and turn right onto the Red Dot Link. Continue straight on the Red Dot Link and turn right back onto the Blue Cross Trail, which will bring you back to the Parking Lot.
