From the SilVer Men Team (Thattaway)

Have you been dying for another Letterbox? Does the thrill of the hunt just slay you? You just can’t let it rest in peace, can you?

Have we got a (pine?) box for you?

Find a new corner of town but please be respectful as you will border both a residential and an “eternal resting place” area.

If you want a longer walk, park in the “Subway” Plaza at Winton Road and East Ave near the Rochester/Brighton Border.

Take a right onto Winton Road and go over I490. At the EXIT ramp, cross
Winton. There is a small street that parallels the expressway called Hoyt.
NOTE: You may also just drive down Hoyt and park in the circle but again, please be quiet and discreet in this area.

Walk to the end of Hoyt where there is a circle in front of an iron gate.
This is the Brighton Cemetery. Do take time to read the monument just to the right of the gate. Some interesting history. Tour the Cemetery if time permits as some markers are pretty old. It’s also a good cover in the presence of muggles.

Stand in the middle of the circle facing the gate.
Look to your left. There is a tree with a double trunk near a gap in the fence.
Peek through the gap and then look down on the back side of the purpl-ish guard rail. Ta-da! There is your not-so-“buried” treasure.

As usual, please “inter” the “box” quickly, quietly and completely.

As you exit Hoyt, turn around and look at the yellow sign at the beginning of the street and see if you laugh at the irony as I do every time I pass by.

Thanks. Keep us posted and Happy Hunting!
