This is a microbox
Then boardwalk is a one mile loop with 80 ft. elevation change. It is approximately half mile roundtrip to the box. Dogs on leash ok.

The “El Moro Elfin Forest” Natural Area located on the southeastern shore of Morro Bay in Los Osos, has 90 acres of pygmy oaks and sand dunes. It is a diverse and complex assemblage of natural plant communities that includes coastal brackish marsh, riparian woodland fringe, pygmy oak woodland, grassland, coastal dune scrub and oak manzanita association. It supports a documented 25 species of mammals, over 110 kinds of birds, and 11 species of reptiles and amphibians. Chumash middens occur throughout property.
The 16th Street entrance has a ramp for wheelchair access.

DIRECTIONS: Whether approaching from Los Osos Valley Rd. or Highway 1, turn on to South Bay Blvd. and turn west on Santa Ysable, and turn right on 16th street. (This entrance also allows for wheelchair access. Park at the end of the road. Pick up a trail guide here.

CLUES: Take the board walk to the right (northeast). Go toward the Rose Bowker Grove. Near the wooden steps, stand next to the number 14. Walk 13 steps back (northeast) to the left side, where the board walk begins to curve. The Flower Elf is sitting in the “V” of the wood supports under the boardwalk. It is behind the support that you can see, if looking underneath. This is a busy area, so be discreet. Please be sure to leave the microbox sitting snuggly out of site.
