Balancing Rock is quite a site to see...it's a HUGE boulder literally balancing on the rock below it. It's on private property but you are welcome to take a look at it. Say hi to Helen if she's there!

NOTE: If visiting from Oct-Dec, please be safe and wear hunter orange as this is hunting season!

Follow Rt. 31 N for 2 miles out of Antrim Center. Take a left onto Gregg Lake Road. Go past the lake and over the bridge. Follow for about 1/2 mile and take a right at the Castor Lane PVT sign. Drive in and park near the gate (but please don't block). Walk around the gate and stay on this main dirt road. It's about a mile hike in. You're almost there when you see the Tree Farm sign. You'll see a blue cabin. Just past the cabin is a sign & trail for Balancing Rock on the right. Here's where your clues start:

Follow the trail--it's just a short walk...
then right in front of you, you'll see a big rock.
Go around the rock to the right and check out this wonder...
Before you're back where you started, you'll have to look under.
There's an arrow on the rock pointing right but you have to look down...
There's 3 rocks with a cave behind them on the ground.
Here is your treasure, treat it with care...
When you're done with the box, please put it back under there.

The hike in is ok for strollers, a bit bumpy. The rock is less than a minute off the main road and you wouldn't have a problem carrying your little one there to find box.

Enjoy! =)
