DIRECTIONS:
Head South out of Florence on Hwy 101. Watch for Jessie M. Honeymon State Park on the right. Enter and head to the Dunes Day use area. A $3.00 fee is required. Bring a lunch and hang out at the swimming hole across the lake after your hike. You can rent Peddle Boats, Kayaks and Canoes or just hang out on the sandy beach. This hike is appx. a .5 to .75 mile round trip.

that the God-given beauty of Oregon is their heritage".

CLUES:
Locate the nature trail that starts near the collection booth at the entrance to the day use parking area.
Enter the trail and go right.
A wooden bridge...
A bench with a view...
Learn interesting facts about the plants and the lake...
Continue around the lake, (left)...
A rail...
Another left...
Cross the boat launch and stay close to the lake...
A rock wall..
See that monument?...go check it out!...
Continue on down the trail...
Another view...and then on around the end of the lake...
"Sledges have edges"...
Tree with a "V" in the trail...
"Stronger than steel"...
"Huckleberry"...
Ready for a picnic?...Face the lake and have a seat...
Behind you across the trail is a smaller little pine I believe is a Cedar?
At it's base under sticks and twigs is Cleawox Lake Letterbox.

Please rehide better than you found it. It is visible from the trail so be sure it can't be see accidently. Thanks.
