This letterbox is great for kids. We've recently adopted it after some recent neglect.

Take Skyline Blvd. south of highway 9 to Castle Rock State Park. Parking is 8 dollars, but many folks seem to avoid the fee by parking on the road. (I have no idea if this is legit!) Have the kids wear sneakers and jeans - lots of rocks to climb.

Here are the clues:

1, From the main parking lot, take the Castle Rock Trail to just before Castle Rock.
2. There is a small building that you will see on the North side of the trail. You might be able to smell this building before you get there.
3. Find the North corner of the building.
4. Take 25 adult paces down the slope to the North to find a stump. On the North side of the stump, between the bark and the wood is a letter box under a piece of bark.

Good luck! Angry Bobcats Roar!
