Less than ¼ mile round trip. Easy flat trail in the Laguna Lake Open Space.

If you have been along the lake, then you have seen the inspiration for this stamp.

DIRECTIONS: From Hwy. 101 take the Madonna exit and head southwest. Turn right on Dalidio Dr. This will take you into Laguna Lake Park. Follow this road to the end. Park in the lot at the restrooms. (The road to the left goes to the lake).

CLUES: A wayward, silly goose wandered up to this very popular play area for dogs. Jasmine is a dog who was running by and stopped to sniff the goose. Of course the goose, didn’t want Jasmine that close, and so the chase was on. They made their way up the dirt path toward the Open Space area. They made circles around the pull-up exercise bars, then went on through the opening in the fence. There were 2 trails and the goose chose the one to the right, heading toward the closer hills. Jasmine noticed that she was almost in line with a very large power structure in the field. And when she wasn’t looking, the goose found a rock grouping there on the left with the largest rock about 4 feet across, and “rusty” on top. There were lots of loose rocks behind this large rock, spreading a couple feet more down the slight slope. The goose went to the corner away from the trail, that points closer to the lake than the other corner. There was a smaller rock, (basketball-size or so) that helped to make this corner a nice hiding spot, with smaller rock piled on. (When going back to check on the goose, Sun Seeker counted 187 steps from the fence opening.) This rock is just right for sitting on, so please rehide the box well.
