***THIS BOX IS NO LONGER THERE. WILL UPDATE WHEN A NEW BOX IS RE-PLACED****

Hi Letterboxer's!

This box is hidden within PALMER PARK. It's a pretty simple venture into the woods, but remember good shoes, a compass (if you have one) & a water bottle. Plan on about 1 1/2 hours to complete the hike.

To find it: Maneuver your way to Palmer Park.

Once inside the park, head up into the hills, and look for a sign to "UTE CREST & Lazy Land" Picnic Areas. Turn into this area.

Follow the road straight to UTE CREST. Pass the "Dead End" sign, and park in the parking area.

To the north of the parking, you'll see a large trail marked off by a few signs & a wooden doggie-bag stand.

Head off on this trail. You'll pass a signpost (on your Right) for Templeton Trail, and such. Continue past this sign.

About 1/4 mile into the trail, it will split (a trash can is there). Take the smaller trail to the RIGHT (our family Cub Scout says you'll go 340 degrees North :)

After a bit, you'll see a trail marker to Yucca & Templeton trails. Head down onto this trail (40 degrees North, The Cub Scout says)

Just past a LARGE pine tree on your LEFT, will be a small rut of a trail. Follow it down the small hill. The trail will split into a Y. Take the LEFT trail (300 degree WEST, remarks The Scout).

Now, Keep your eyes open! A few steps onto this trail, you'll see a big, orange, flattish rock on your LEFT. There are several little rocks piled under it's jutting lip. The CSCA Box is hidden beneath the pile of smaller rocks. HOORAY! You found it!!

Once you've stamped & left a note, be sure you recover the rocks like a pro! We want to keep this hidden for a LONG time!
