About a mile south of Randolph near the border of Dakota and Goodhue counties you'll find the McKnight Prairie preservation project. Park at the intersection of 310th St SE. and 2nd Ave. S. The prairie lies to the NE of the intersection where you'll find a gate. Take a stroll across the prairie, staying on the paths. Take note of the native flora and fauna and their struggle against invasive species. In the far NE corner of the prairie, bounded by corn or soy bean fields on the N and E (about a half-mile walk), you'll find a pile of field stones. The letterbox is in the center of the pile.
This placement has been approved by the purveyor of the prairie. Please refer to Guidelines for Geocaching and Letterboxing in the Arb.
