***MISSING***
Location : Lake Grubb Nature Park Mountville, Pennsylvania
Directions: Beginning at Marietta Pike (Route 23) near Stoney Battery Road continue west to Hempfield Hill Road (just past Silver Springs Road). Turn left on Hempfield Hill Road. After several curves Lake Grub Nature Park will be on your right.
Trail: There is a very nice, well maintained (although hilly) 1 mile trial around Lake Grubb.
Notes: Lake Grubb is located on the site of the former Chestnut Hill Iron Ore Company and was created by the Mountville Borough and West Hempfield Township. There are two large pavilions and rest rooms near the start of the trail. Fishing is permitted however, swimming and boating are not. No pets are allowed. There is also a nice playground located to the left of the parking area.
Clues: Park in the parking lot and walk down the path to the lake. Turn left and start walking around the lake. About 1/2 mile around the lake there is a path to the right that goes to the scenic overlook. After enjoying the view go back to the main path and continue around the lake. You will pass through a small group of pines. 58 paces past these pines is a spit rail fence on the right. 17 paces ahead of the end of the fence is a v-shaped tree on the left. Look in the hole just below the corkscrew on the right branch of the tree.
